Terms of Service

By creating a TutorClue parent account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Parent accounts may be opened only by an adult parent or legal guardian who can enter into this agreement. Students use profiles created and controlled by that adult; they do not create independent accounts.

TutorClue is an AI-powered educational study aid that explains concepts, guides students through homework, quizzes them and coaches their writing. It is not a school, teacher, tutor of record or substitute for professional, medical, legal or emergency advice.

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate or out of date. Parents and students should verify important information with reliable sources and qualified educators. A parent remains responsible for deciding whether TutorClue is appropriate for a child and for supervising the child's use.

You must provide accurate parent-account information, keep your password and student passcodes secure, create profiles only for children for whom you are authorized to act, review the Parent Information notice, and promptly contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not place a child's full name, contact information, school details or other unnecessary personal information in a profile or question.

TutorClue may be used only for lawful educational purposes. You may not attempt to bypass safety, grade, usage or access controls; probe or disrupt the service; extract confidential system instructions; impersonate another person; upload content you do not have the right to use; or use TutorClue to facilitate cheating, harm or unlawful activity.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect students, other users, TutorClue or its service providers, or when these Terms are materially violated.

The Free plan and Family Premium plan include the features and limits shown on the TutorClue pricing page. Limits may be enforced per student or account and may reset on the schedule described in the product. We may adjust future plan features or limits, but will not change the price of an existing paid billing period retroactively.

Family Premium is billed monthly at the price shown before checkout. By subscribing, the parent authorizes Stripe to charge the selected payment method and understands that the subscription renews automatically each month until canceled.

A parent can manage or cancel the subscription through TutorClue's Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; Premium access ordinarily continues through the end of the already-paid billing period unless the checkout or portal states otherwise. Deleting a student profile does not by itself cancel a subscription.

Except where required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable once a billing period begins. If you believe you were charged in error or experience a billing problem, contact mytutorclue@gmail.com. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

A parent may enable homework-photo support for an eligible Premium student. You retain responsibility for content submitted through TutorClue and confirm that you have the right to submit it. Do not upload faces, identification documents, school records or unnecessary personal information. Submitted content may be processed by service providers solely to operate the requested tutoring feature.

TutorClue and its software, branding, design and service content are owned by TutorClue or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant only a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service while complying with these Terms. They do not transfer ownership of TutorClue technology or branding.

We work to keep TutorClue available, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, be limited or be discontinued for operational, safety, legal or technical reasons. When practical, we will provide reasonable notice of a material change affecting a paid subscription.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TutorClue is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of AI-generated responses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TutorClue will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Applicable consumer-protection rights and liabilities that cannot be excluded remain in effect.

Parents may delete student profiles through the dashboard. To request closure of a parent account and deletion of associated account information, contact us. Certain transaction, security or legal records may be retained where required or reasonably necessary. Cancel any active subscription separately through the customer portal before closing the account.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Material changes may require renewed acceptance. Questions can be sent to mytutorclue@gmail.com.
